Curious about the key town centres in Fiji?

This town and city guide of Fiji’s major town centres provides you an overview of where to explore. The majority of Fiji’s population resides on the two main islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, which is why most significant town centres are found there. The town and city list is as follows:

Lautoka

Lautoka, home to approximately 52,900 people, is Fiji’s second largest city. It lies 24 km north of Nadi and is known as the ‘Sugar City’ because it sits in the centre of Fiji’s sugar cane region.

Towns

Nadi

Sigatoka

Sigatoka (pronounced Sing-a-toe-ka) is home to roughly 9,500 people and is located on the Coral Coast on the south-west of Viti Levu. This charming riverside town serves as the commercial hub for the region and is also near one of Fiji’s natural marvels, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.

Rakiraki

At the northern tip of Viti Levu lies the scenic region of Rakiraki. The views are particularly striking when approaching along Kings Road from Korovou down the mountains, travelling counter-clockwise around Viti Levu.
